Description
Sharks are the ocean's perfect predator, existing for over 350 million years, even before the time of the dinosaurs. The sharks featured on this boat tour include the Gray Reef, Galapagos, Sandbar and Hammerhead.
Your adventure begins with a short 15-minute boat ride that will take you three miles out from Haleiwa Small Boat Harbor. View beautiful creatures in their natural habitat. Often on the way you will see dolphins, Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles and magnificent Humpback Whales (November through May).
When the water turns a deep cobalt blue and reaches depths of 200–400 feet, we have entered shark-infested waters! At this point, as some sharks swim up to the surface of the water, a glass cage is lowered into the water. Depending on which option you have selected, you can either enter the cage or stay on the boat. The visibility is so good (often 200 feet or more) that you can actually see the sharks come up from the deep. The sharks we see range in size from five to fifteen feet.
When you and your shipmates have had enough (up to 2 hours) in the water, we’ll make the approximate 15-minute boat ride back to shore!
The Boat and Crew: The Kailolo (Water Crazy) is a 26-foot Anderson boat with a swim step on the transom. The first priority of our crew is your safety. Along with taking care of your general well being, our crew possesses lifelong ties to the sea and they are there to teach you about the sharks: their behaviors and instincts.
Our crew’s goal is to lead you to a better understanding of sharks and offer you an unforgettable experience in a very safe environment. While you may not be in the water with the sharks, this is the perfect opportunity to learn more about these predators.

I went with my two 9 year old children. They were afraid, but excited about the trip. We love the crew as they did an outstanding job in taking care of us. It is amazing how close the sharks came up to the cage in every direction. Once the kids got in the water they would scream for excitment as they tried to point out the different sharks and wanted me to see how close they would come. They begged to get back in the cage to see more and already asked if they could go swim with the sharks for their birthday. They have rode the dolphins, went deep see fishing where they caught a 8 foot shard, over a 100 pound tuna, or snorkling with the turtles, but nothing compared to this trip. I recommend that you get the video as it is well worth the money. Bring cash to get your T-shirts to remind you of the trip.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing time! We saw over 15 sharks during our time in the cage. The crew was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The boat ride out on the drop point was fun. Plus, we were able to get great shots of the sharks from the surface. I would definitely recommend this to everyone! This is an experience we will never forget.

The crew was wonderful - they were very friendly and informative. I could tell they really enjoy what they do. My wife was 4 1/2 months pregnant when we went and never once felt unsafe. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience and we thoroughly enjoyed it!

An amazing experience from start to finish, the 2 guys that took us out made us feel totally relaxed, and safe. It was incredible to see the sharks so close up, and so many! It's something we'll never forget, and the DVD and t-shirts will make sure we don't! Thanks so much, just keep doing what you're doing!

We were on our honeymoon and looked for an excursion that we wouldn't really do anywhere else and this was awesome! Great experience! There were between 15-20 sharks that were circling the cage and we got great pics. The guides truly added to the experience and were very well versed in the sharks, their history, life cycle and the waters in which they live. My wife was a little scared at first but was made comforable and is extemely happy that we went. Highly recommended to anyone!

This was the highlight of our trip. The crew was fantastic. They were funny and made it exciting, yet you still felt very safe. The boat was great, and the sharks were mind blowing! Save your money on other trinkets and get the DVD! It was worth every penny! Can't say enough positive things. The captain even called me on my cell phone because I was running a little late and helped me with directions.

We had a blast doing the Shark Cage Adventure Tour! Even though the sea was less than calm and everyone got seasick after a while, I would redo it again in a heartbeat! Definitively worth the adrenaline rush when you go in the cage and see shark shadows while you're still on board. My advice: go first if the sea is agitated, at least, you'll have time to enjoy it! Take the video they offer you: its worth the $65 - we've been watching it over and over again!
